Two Checks off the NY Resolution List

That thing has been sitting in my closet for over a year waiting to be completed.  It only took something like a public forum to get me off my butt during naptimes to finish the darn thing.

I didn’t do a step by step posting for the duvet because I wasn’t really sure what I was doing, given that it was my first time doing a project of this size. I’ll do a step by step for another duvet at some point in the future, they are pretty simple to do.  The duvet looks great, a bit amatuerish but it was my first project.  I love it because it represents our honeymoon with symbols important to me.  Have you done anything special you want to commemorate?

Of course, my husband says its cool and beautiful, but it belongs in the spare bedroom because he thinks its too shiny.

The second thing I get to cross off my list is … myself and three of my friends are headed to Spanaway, WA to watch the Buck Brannaman Clinic as a good old fashioned cowgirl spectators.  It’s not until November, so there is a slight wait.  In the meantime, I’ll have to dust off my old Justin Cowboy boots.  Even though I was a city gal growing up in Montana, I still wore cowboy boots for riding, rodeos, and dancing.  In that order.

  1. Thank you and You're Welcome! The Springhill is where we got married :) Ah duvets are awesome ~ and easy to make too, you can always have the duvet for looks and then kick off the covers when it gets a little too hot 😉

  3. Your page is very refreshing! I love that photo of the Springhill Farm.

Thanks for stopping by Cure for Mondays.

By the way, my husband was looking at your duvet and thinks it makes a bedroom look very cozy. Now he wants one…but he knows he may never get it because we live in a tropical country. Ha-ha.
